"Enterprising Waters: New York's Erie Canal" A Panel Exhibition Opportunity

The Erie Canal is one of the most groundbreaking human-made waterways in American history. Since its grand opening in October 1825, it has transformed access to the North American interior from the Atlantic seaboard, propelling New York to the forefront of population growth, industrial innovation, and economic prosperity throughout the 19th century. This exhibit brings the Erie Canal's remarkable story to life, celebrating its visionary inception, ambitious construction, 20th-centuryexpansion, and bicentennial commemoration.

In honor of the Erie Canal's 200th anniversary, the New York State Museum proudly presents this dynamic panel exhibtion, designed for cultural insituttions and schools to share the enduring legacy of this iconic waterway. 

Details of Enterprising Waters Panel Exhibition Opportunity:
- No Cost. High resolution files will be sent for venues to print and mount panels at own expense.
- Eight panels total are offered in two sizes: 24 inches wide by 36 inches high, or 36 inches wide by 48 inches high. The area is variable, ranging from 28 to 34 linear feet. 
- Available: Exhibition panel files will be available beginning in April 2025.
