Each year our exhibits and programs attract hundreds of thousands of visitors to upstate New York. The New York State Museum offers a variety of interesting and educational opportunities for volunteers and interns. Choose from assisting in research laboratories, assisting in our interactive children's area we call "Discovery Place", helping school children in our after school program, or working with visitor services providing information and special programs to visitors.
Whether you are retired, a professional, a student or just have a skill and time you would like to share, the New York State Museum will welcome you as a valued volunteer or offer an educational and exciting internship.
