Abstract | The phorid genus Melaloncha Brues and the species Beckerina setifrons Borgmeier, Coniceromyia latimana (Malloch), Megaselia lanceata Borgmeier, Megaselia luteicauda (Borgmeier), and Melaloncha nigricorpus Borgmeier are reported for the first time from North America north of Mexico. Megaselia seclusa Beyer is synonymized with M. lanceata [NEW SYNONYMY]. New locality records are given for Dohrniphora divaricata (Aldrich). Alterations to existing keys are suggested that will allow identification of these taxa.
